Saturday night at 1774 Promotions was one to remember for the Machete Muay Thai Penrith.
Our team came away with five wins from five fights, including four stoppages, and Bailey Collins capturing the WBC NSW State Title in a strong, composed performance.

It was a night that reflected months of preparation, teamwork, and standards as well as the support of everyone who makes our gym what it is.

⚡ Connor — Round 3 TKO

Connor opened the night with patience and skill, adapting to a technical opponent before finding his rhythm and securing a third round TKO.
It was a confident performance that set the tone for the team.

💥 Ben — Round 2 Stoppage

Ben followed with a composed and measured display, controlling the pace and showing great improvement. He finished the job in the second round, highlighting how consistency in training always pays off.

⚔️ Kye — Fast Finish, Big Step Forward

Kye made a statement early, landing a first-minute stoppage that moved him into the Top 10 lightweights in Australia, now ranked #8 nationally.
A huge step forward for one of our young guns who’s been putting in the work quietly and consistently.

🏆 Bailey Collins — WBC NSW State Champion

In his third meeting with  Fahed Haider, Bailey showed just how far he’s come.
After dropping the first fight and drawing the second, he stepped in with confidence, composure, and maturity, taking every round on the judges’ scorecards to claim the WBC NSW State Title.
It was a well earned reward for years of growth.

🇹🇭 Andrew Mitchell — Round 2 Stoppage

Andrew closed the night perfectly, showing calmness under pressure to score a second-round stoppage over a crafty Thai opponent.

This past weekend was another milestone for the Penrith Muay Thai community, as two of our dedicated fighters, Chloe and Connor, stepped into the ring to showcase their skills, heart, and the relentless training that defines Machete Muay Thai. Each fight is a chance to grow, and both athletes represented Penrith with pride.

Chloe’s Ref Stoppage Victory 🥊

Chloe delivered a dominant performance, setting the pace from the opening bell with sharp strikes, smart pressure, and unwavering confidence. Her ability to control the distance and push the tempo left her opponent struggling to find answers. The referee eventually stepped in for a stoppage victory, giving Chloe a well-earned win. This result reflects the hours of training, discipline, and guidance from our coaches here in Penrith. Her journey is proof that commitment and consistency pay off.

Connor’s Close Battle

Connor faced a tough, seasoned opponent in what became one of the night’s most competitive matchups. Despite dropping a close decision, Connor showed heart, composure, and moments of brilliance that kept the fight razor-thin on the scorecards. He walked away knowing exactly what needs fine-tuning and is already back in the gym working harder than ever. At Machete Muay Thai in Penrith, we see every setback as a setup for a bigger comeback, and Connor is the perfect example of that mentality.

Next Up: Thai Consulate Cup 🇹🇭

The team now turns its focus to the Thai Consulate Cup on September 28th, one of Australia’s premier Muay Thai events. With three rings running at once and some of the best talent in the country on display, it’s a huge opportunity for our fighters to shine and for the Penrith Muay Thai community to stand proud on a national stage.

The Machete Muay Thai team is proud to celebrate another big win, with Kye Larucci putting on a dominant performance at Prelude to 1774 over the weekend.

Matched against Seyon from Sitshothon Muay Thai, Kye went the distance over three hard-fought rounds, taking home a strong points decision victory. From the opening bell, his focus and composure were obvious. He established his rhythm early, using sharp jabs, powerful body kicks, and smart footwork to control the centre of the ring.

Throughout the fight, Kye’s ability to adapt stood out. When Seyon tried to close the distance, Kye answered with heavy combinations that landed clean, shutting down any attempts to drive forward. At range, his timing and accuracy kept his opponent guessing. The balance between aggression and control is something Kye has been working on in training — and it showed on fight night.

Taking this fight on just two weeks’ notice and at a higher weight class, Kye had a short but intense preparation. He smashed through hard rounds of sparring, drilled combinations relentlessly, and put in solid strength and conditioning work with our friends over at The Functional Effect. Fight camps are never easy, but Kye’s discipline and work ethic are a big reason he’s continuing to stack up wins.

The team spirit in the lead-up to the fight was unreal. Training partners pushed him every session, coaches fine-tuned the game plan, and the loyal Machete crew turned out in numbers to cheer him on. The energy from the crowd on fight night was massive, and Kye has said how much he appreciates every single voice in his corner.

A big thank you to the promoters of Prelude to 1774 for putting on another top-tier event, and to Seyon and his team for bringing a tough challenge.

This win is another step forward in Kye’s journey, and we’re excited to see what opportunities open up next. Whether it’s climbing the domestic rankings or stepping onto bigger shows, one thing’s for sure — Kye is only getting better.

Machete Muay Thai is proud to celebrate Bailey Collins  as he secured a dominant victory over Michael Zalenski from MSP Muay Thai Penrith at the recent Supremacy Show, taking home the title belt.

From the opening bell, Bailey controlled the fight’s pace with sharp combinations, powerful hands, and smart ring control, keeping Michael guessing — switching him between the front and back foot. Facing a tough opponent representing MSP Muay Thai Penrith — Bailey demonstrated why Machete Muay Thai is a leading force in the Penrith Muay Thai community.

Throughout the match, Bailey’s adaptability truly stood out. When Michael tried to close distance and apply pressure, Bailey responded with excellent fight IQ, successfully negating his opponent’s attempts to score and frustrating his MSP Muay Thai rival. His timing, accuracy, and footwork at range kept him just out of reach while landing clean, decisive strikes that turned the tide in his favour.

This victory highlights not only Bailey’s dedication but also the relentless hard work and support from the entire Machete Muay Thai team. As a gym and a community, we are committed to pushing our fighters to their absolute peak. Katie put on a dominant performance this past weekend on Muay Thai League on the Gold Coast picking up an unanimous points decision vs Erin Nichols of Neung Muay Thai. Katie also signed with Jacksonwink management over the weekend opening the door to the international circuit for her. Stay tuned for her next fight to finish the year.

On the 8th of October Katie Mitchell is heading up to the Gold Coast to take on Erin Nichols from Neung Muay Thai. Katie is coming of a solid win over Allegra Vickers and is looking to keep her momentum going. Live stream to the show will be available on mtlaus.com

Cody picks up the WMC Aus middleweight title vs Tristan McManus.Cody put on a great display over 5 rounds showing great improvement and cementing himself at the top in Australia. Next up for Cody is the WBC NSW title vs Daniel barber scheduled for the 12th of November on 1774 promotions.

Next up for Machete Muay Thai we have Austin Hunter and Zac Toomey taking part in the Muay Thai NSW development day, Both boys are looking good and are eager to get some ring experience in. Later on that evening we have Tom having his fourth fight against a tough opponent from Muay U. Tom is looking fit ahead of it and is looking forward to putting on an entertaining fight.

On the 25th of June we had Luke and Tom fighting on Siam 2 Sydney with both boys putting on great performances. Since coming over to us, Luke showed how much he has improved and showcased great fight IQ for having only his second fight (first fight under machete Muay Thai) Luke fell short via split decision in what was an entertaining fight.

Cody will be fighting for a WMC Professional Australian Title against Nick Trask in Queensland on the 4th of June.
