Machete is a well put together gym with an amazing family dynamic while producing some of the best fighters in the country! Rhyse is an amazing trainer my 4 year old son attends the kids class twice a week and has gained so much confidence and looks up to his teachers Rhyse and Cody. I highly recommend for any age or gender!
Machete Muay Thai has been my first real experience with Muay Thai and I loved every training session. Great atmosphere with a great instructor, Rhyse has a lot of time for all of his students and is more than willing to turn you into a fighter if you're ready to give it your all! Though even if you're not looking to become a fighter, you'll still learn the essential fundamentals and enjoy getting fit/staying active. Everyone there is very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this gym. Thank you Rhyse for training me and introducing me to the world of Muay Thai. It's truly been an awesome experience that I will always carry with me!

After trying a number of gyms, this one is a clear winner. Wether you have dreams of being a professional fighter or are simply looking to get into shape, you’ll find a home here. Coaches are very professional and pay close attention to your form to provide corrections to help you improve your technique. Members are all really respectful of each other which creates a friendly and safe environment for people of all ages and ability to come together and train in. On top of all of this, the gym is huge with plenty of space and it’s always kept super clean. Keep up the great work team!

Reece is a legend best trainer I've had great gym great atmosphere even with his poor taste in gym music hahahaha I wouldn't go anywhere else highly recommend 'Machete Muay Thai ' as anyone's first choice.

After spending alot of time at machete muay thai I have come to realise just how extensive not only all the coaches knowledge is but all of the members too. This wealth of knowledge coincides with a deep passion for muay thai and willingness to teach. I recommend machete muay thai to beginners, full time fighters and anyone in-between.

As someone who has never trained Muay Thai walking into machete was extremely welcoming for newcomers and Rhyse has several classes running till late for all different skill levels which was accommodating couldn’t recommend anymore
By far the BEST gym I have been to. It's such a fun and great environment to train. Rhyse and his team of trainers are patient, helpful, great mentors and incredible fighters who not only make fitness enjoyable but train you in proper techniques of Muay Thai kickboxing. Went in for a trial, walked out a happy member! Best decision I could have made 🙂

Absolutely incredible experience for my kids. My teenage daughter has never had any interest in sports or exercise before. This is the first thing she’s ever been passionate about, she loves it so much. In just around 6 weeks, she has gained multiple skills and built up so much confidence. The same for my son. The trainers are amazing, they are great role modes for my kids. and are so good with my little ones as well. The gym is always clean and tidy with classes for all ages. It has been a life changing experience for my family.

Machete Muay Thai is one of the most interesting kick boxing gyms I have trained at. Rhyse Saliba has fresh and original drills I have never seen before, including extended Muay Thai grappling and clinching sessions, advanced padwork using elbow strikes, and hand-trapping drills. A lot of the kick boxing gyms I have trained at in the past use tired old boxing drills with a few kicks thrown in, but Machete Muay Thai is genuinely different. From the first class I found myself learning things I had never been shown before. I discovered entirely new types of elbow strike, and fresh new ways of clinching the opponent, authentic Mauy Thai throws and grappling moves, knee strikes, and vertical elbow slices that allow you to pierce and split a guard in ways I had never seen before in any gym. The variety of strikes and methods on offer are supported by wisdom from Rhyse Saliba's extensive background experience and training, his World Title fights and his natural ability to teach even new beginners and children the fundamentals and love of the sport. He offers a unique system of graded sparing that can take people from beginner to advanced. Highly recommended.

Penrith's hottest sweat box Muay Thai gym! Machete Muay Thai is extremely inclusive offering classes for all levels. Their female only classes are such a great way to get fit whilst learning a new skill and meeting new people. There is lots of one on one attention in group classes with the option of booking PT sessions with some of their top fighters. The atmosphere is always so good and the people are so friendly that you'll want to come every day.
